Beechworth Golf Club

We had a great field of 15 players for the June Monthly Medal today.

We welcomed Hayday and Zack for their first official comp. And two juniors, Ashton and Zac.

The Medal winner with a great two under off the stick 66, off a 1 handicap was Dylan Pool with 65 nett.

The runner up was Haydan Winfield (20) 71 nett.

Ball winners were Ashton Leary (37) 72 and Dean Howard (12) 72.

Only one nearest the pin went off and that went to Simon Carracher on the 17th.

There were two matchplay games played also, with Dylan Pool defeating Simon Carracher 3&2 and Jacko Wells beating Zane Howard on the 20th hole.

Next Sunday we will be back on again for a Stableford round. With a 11:30 for 12 hit off.

Come on out tomorrow to Beechworth Golf Club. 

Its the June Monthly Medal for the men. 

All men , women, juniors are welcome to play in the daily comp.  

Visitors welcome.

Today there was only a small crew that fronted to for a Stableford event at Beechworth.

The winner was Phil Pelgrim with 31 points.
The runner up was Jamie with a score that we won’t publish.

There were no nearest the pins.

We also had five members travel to Rutherglen for their Tournament, which included junior Zac for his first tournament.

Tyson Carey fared the best, coming runner up in the C Grade with 35 points.

The next best was definitely Dylan Pool who took home the first prize meat tray in the raffle.

Andrew Field won a nearest the pin and a raffle prize.

Golf is back on again at Beechworth next Sunday, with the June Monthly Medal. 11:30 for 12 hit off.

Today we had 4 members travel to St James Golf Club for the NEDGA Sandgreen Championships.

Congratulations to Andrew Field who is the new NEDGA Sandgreen Champion winning the event in a play off from Vaughan Saunders.
They both had a one over 71.

Vaughan didn’t go home empty handed, winning the A Grade nett with a 72 nett.

Dylan Pool took home the A Grade Scratch runner up with a 72.

And Darren Edwards was runner up in the A Grade Handicap with a 75 nett.

Back at home there were 8 players who fronted up for a Stableford event.

Andy Croome continues to shoot close to his age winning the day with 37 points.

Runner up was Dave Clark with 33 points on a countback from Dean Howard.

Nearest the pins went to Andy Croome on the 3rd and Dave Clark on the 10th.

Next Sunday will be another Stableford event at Beechworth. 11:30 for 12 hit off.

We also have the Rutherglen tournament, which we would like to aend a few more men to, to support them.
It is a 9:30 for 10am start.
