
Yesterday a couple of groups went out and played and Stableford round.
It was great to see new member Andrew Field join in the competition.
There was only 4 points that separated the whole playing group.
Rod Shaw (20) won the day with 36 points and also won the only nearest the pin on the 10th.
Dean Howard (13) was runner up with 34 points.
Then the rest of the field scored 32 points.
The were Andrew Field (5) 32, Jamie Dolny (13) 32, Jacob Howard (9) 32 and Simon Pfahlert (10) 32.
Also on Sunday Andy Croome, Jackson Wells and Dylan Pool went to Tallangatta to play in their 3 person Ambrose.
The team were beaten on a countback for the Scratch event with a 4 under 66.
Dylan won the longest drive, Andy won the over 65’s longest drive and Jacko won a 6 pack on the raffle.
This coming Sunday we have a few members travelling to Bethanga for the NEDGA Sandgreen Championships.
18 holes, 9:30 for 10am hit off.

We can sort out a lift for anyone wanting to go.
There will be a Stableford event at Beechworth for those not going. 11:30 for 12 hit off.
Remember that the golf course is closed this Wednesday until around 2pm due to the High School Cross Country.

Today the women played their second round of the Club Championships with a great field of 11 players contesting the day.
The winner with a great score of 67 nett off a 27 handicap was Jacqui Cato.
Runner up only one shot behind was Hollie Goodwin (14) with 68 nett.
Next to follow were Gail Smith (16) 71, Coral Ward (23) 73, Ellie Hirst (35) 75 and Nada Guyatt (25) 75.
Nearest the pins went to Ellie Hirst on the 5th, Gail Smith and Judy Pierce on the 10th? And Hollie Goodwin on the 17th.
After the second round of the Championships the leaders are as follows.
This is taking both scores.
The Championships is best 3 scores out of 4.
A Grade

B Grade.

Pam Nankervis 113,114 (127).
Although Jacqui Cato’s 94 today has her in a good spot in the B Grade, but won’t have a back up score.
In the Handicap event Gail Smith (17) leads on 139, Hollie Goodwin (13) sits in second on 143 and Coral Ward (23) is in third with 148.
Due to the High School Cross Country on the Golf Course there will not be Wednesday golf next week.
The course will be closed between 10am and 2pm.

Today we played a 4Ball Better Ball (two person).
The winners were Rod Shaw (19) and Dylan Pool (2) with 42 points on a countback from Jackson Wells (18) and Andy Croome (12) 42.
Next were George Ward (21) and Jamie Dolny (13) 38.
Jamie cleaned up the nearest the pins winning three of them, on the 3rd, 10th and 17th.
Jackson Wells also claimed one on the 7th.
Next Sunday we have at least one team going to Tallangatta for a 3 person Ambrose.
If anyone else is interested let Dylan know and we will try and send another team.
At Beechworth there will be a Stableford event.

Congratulations to Darren Edwards who today won the Scratch Event at Myrtleford Golf Club today.

Also for note, he won the section one handicap pennant player of the year for this season as well, which was announced last week.
